However, it was the text convo between Pete and Kanye that surfaced that really showed how serious things have gotten -- Pete revealing he was "In bed with your wife" -- and asking Kanye to meet face-to-face to hash things out. What's interesting, Kanye asked Pete to show up to Sunday Service to talk -- but Pete refused -- saying he didn't want to do it for the cameras, and wanted to chat in private. As you know, Pete's taken the brunt of Kanye's attacks for the last 6 months, and has remained silent ... but warned Kanye he was done holding his tongue. The allegations from Ye come after months of accusations from Kim that he has an "obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation," to the detriment of everyone involved. "From the beginning, I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way," she continued in an Instagram story posted last month. For his part, the Donda 2 artist has maintained that Kim has been "trying to antagonize" him by "playing games" with North, who has a TikTok account that is managed by Kim, much to his chagrin. And let's not forget the contention around his supposed lack of an invitation to Chicago's fourth birthday party. Following the drama, an unnamed source told E! News that Ye was "never not invited to the party," and that Kim "was under the impression he wanted to do his own celebration." The renewed custody issues also come amid conversations about Ye's "misogynistic and controlling" parenting style. Over the weekend, he criticized Kim and North's since-deleted TikTok sing-along to Machine Gun Kelly and Willow Smith's collaboration "Emo Girl." Previously, he was under fire for saying his youngest daughter, Chicago, looked "too grown" in selfies shared by Khloé Kardashian that appeared to have been filtered. This led some to call out the double standard of Ye's "obsession" over his daughters' appearances in comparison with his sons', saying that it's emblematic of his views toward women. "Where is all this energy when it comes to worrying if his sons will grow up respecting women’s boundaries? Why is the onus entirely on his daughters?" one Reddit user wrote. Finally, Ye's post comes after an alleged text message exchange between him and Kim's beau Pete Davidson, where the Saturday Night Live star pleaded with him to "handle these matters privately."
