Alongside the images, she explained, “Having a set Fashion Month schedule has meant that my colleagues and I often present new fashion collections during heartbreaking and traumatic times in history.” She noted, however, that while models “don’t have control over most of our work schedules,” one thing they can do is “walk ‘for’ something.” That's why, Hadid announced, she decided to follow in her friend and fellow model Mica Argañaraz's footsteps in “pledging to donate my earnings from the Fall 2022 shows to aid those suffering from the war in Ukraine, as well as continuing to support those experiencing the same in Palestine. Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice. May we all see each other as brothers and sisters, beyond politics, beyond race, beyond religion. At the end of the day, innocent lives pay for war- not leaders.” She concluded the post with “HANDS OFF UKRAINE. HANDS OFF PALESTINE. PEACE. PEACE. PEACE,” and a dove emoji. "We don't have control over most of our work schedules, but we would like to walk 'for' something. Following in the footsteps of my friend @micarganaraz, I am pledging to donate my earnings from the Fall 2022 shows to aid those suffering from the war in Ukraine." From Michael Kors in New York to Vivienne Westwood in Paris, Hadid has walked in numerous shows this month while fashion weeks took place across New York, London, Milan and Paris. Hadid went on to say she will also use her earnings to continue to support Palestinians and concluded the post by writing: "Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice. May we all see each other as brothers and sisters, beyond politics, beyond race, beyond religion. At the end of the day, innocent lives pay for war-not leaders." Hadid's announcement comes days after Ukraine-born actress Mila Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher pledged to match up to $3 million in donations to help refugees fleeing her native country. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are also fundraising to help the country's refugees. Top image: Gigi Hadid walks in the Vivienne Westwood show during Paris Fashion Week. Bella, who is also giving away part of her fashion week earnings, reshared Argañaraz's message on her Stories and added, “We have many Ukrainian friends, colleagues, models, production, casting and to see the lack of communication/knowledge about a war that is subsiding so close is very very sad...Please make sure to ask your Ukrainian AND Russian friends if they are okay. If they need any support. If there is anything WE can do for them. Whether emotionally, mentally, or just a hug. Please reach out and see how you can be of service. If you feel hopeless, the time is now to show up and remind the people around you that are struggling that you care and you are there.” Gigi Hadid generously supported Ukraine | Gigi Hadid Source Vanity Fair CNN
