Spice Girls REUNION Include A NEW Member Spice Girls Spice Girls reunion planned for Glastonbury 2023 The Spice Girls were formed in 1994 in London, England. The Spice Girls consisted of five young girls who became one of the top pop groups with the song "Wannabe". The Spice Girls released three albums and ten singles. The movie Spiceworld was made with the Spice Girls. The Spice Girls have previously teased that they want to perform at Glastonbury as a full fivesome and it seems that the ladies are aiming to make that happened as a grand climax for a brand new world tour. The complete group are tipped to reunite for the grand finale of an upcoming world tour by taking to the stage as a five piece once again at the 2023 Glastonbury Music Festival The ladies – who shot to fame in 1996 with the release of their debut smash single, Wannabe – with the group consisting of Mel’s B and C, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner (nee Halliwell) and the elusive Victoria Beckham. While the girls have made no secret of the fact they want to hit the road again – and take in Glastonbury – certain events have made this difficult with the Covid pandemic scuppering plans, while Vicky’s reluctance to perform with her old bandmates also adding to big plan woes. But now it sounds like the planets might soon align as the group anticipate going on a huge world tour that will culminate in a performance at Glastonbury Music Festival with Posh Spice joining the band on stage. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “There have been bumps in the road, particularly where Geri is concerned, but the plan is still that the girls’ world tour will go ahead next year. “The idea is that it will kick off in 2023, and finish at Glastonbury. “Victoria has previously said that she would perform with them at the festival. So that would be the perfect way to round off the tour.” The source also hit back at an accusation by Mel C that Geri had been holding up plans for the ladies to take part in celebrations for HM The Queen’s upcoming jubilee concert. It was previously reported that the band had been asked to take part in the concert, but that Mel had said in an interview: “You’re going to need to ask Geri about that one.” But The Sun’s source claims: “The Spice Girls will definitely not be performing at the Queen’s Jubilee, though that is not just down to Geri, as Mel hinted initially.” They went on to blame busy and conflicting work schedules for torpedoing plans for the Spice Girls to take part in the upcoming concert. Meanwhile, 48-year-old Mel C has been one of the most vocal members of the group demanding for months that they should reform. She said last year that all five original members “all passionately want to do it.” She told OK!: “I tell you something, there will be [a reunion] if I’ve got anything to do with it. “We’re constantly talking about it. The girls have had meetings and it’s something we all passionately want to do. “We’re working through the ins and out of Covid to try to make it happen.” The band last took to the road in 2019 where Mel’s B and C, Emma and Geri toured the UK and Ireland – with Sporty adding that Vicky was effectively there with them in spirit.
