Kim Kardashian, her younger sister, was the first to congratulate Kourtney and Travis Barker on their upcoming arrival. The Skims mogul expressed her joy by responding with heart and pregnant woman emojis on the couple's joint Instagram post.

Kourtney's other younger sisters, Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, also celebrated the news of the pregnancy through Instagram. They shared their excitement and expressed their eagerness to meet Baby Kravis.

The entrepreneur behind Lemme and Barker, her husband, initially announced the pregnancy during his Blink-182 concert on Friday, June 16, through an Instagram video. In the video, Kourtney held up a handwritten poster that revealed the news, stating, "Travis, I'm pregnant." The sign itself paid homage to the music video for his band's song "All the Small Things," which premiered exactly 14 years ago.

"Hey Travis, you got an announcement!" exclaimed Mark Hoppus, Barker's bandmate, during the concert as he noticed the sign. "We've got an announcement that somebody's d--k still works! Let's hear it for Travis ... somebody's having a baby!"

The creator of Poosh, Kourtney Kardashian, first became a mother in 2009 when she welcomed her son Mason, now 13, with her then-boyfriend Scott Disick. The native of Los Angeles went on to have her daughter Penelope, now 10, and her son Reign, now 8, in 2012 and 2014, respectively.

Following their split in 2015, the former couple focused on maintaining a friendly co-parenting relationship for the sake of their children. Kardashian expressed her pride in their progress in an April 2019 YouTube video, saying, "I'm so proud of the place we're at as parents to our children now and all the work we've put into getting here. We just did it on our own and came up with our own schedule."

At the time, Disick, 40, added, "The fact that we've tried and made it work makes life that much better. I couldn't imagine raising three children with somebody I couldn't speak to every day."

However, when Kardashian moved on with Blink-182 drummer, their dynamic underwent a shift. "Scott and Kourtney's relationship is definitely strained," an exclusive source told Us Weekly in May 2021. "They don't communicate much unless it has to do with their kids. Scott feels not just disconnected from Kourtney, but also all the Kardashians. This was his biggest fear — getting out of touch with his 'family,' and now him being on the outskirts with Kourtney is affecting him completely."

Five months later, Barker, 46, proposed to Kardashian. Another insider revealed their plans to have children together. Barker is already the father of son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama, 17, with Shanna Moakler. He also maintains a close relationship with his ex-wife's daughter Atiana, 24, from her previous relationship with Oscar de la Hoya, who is 48 years old.

"They will have a baby together without any doubt, it's just a matter of when and how," the source told Us following the beach proposal in October 2021. "Ideally, Kourtney would like a natural birth. She's confident it won't be a problem because she's always been lucky to conceive naturally and has taken great care of herself physically. ... Certainly though, she and Travis want to bring their own child into the picture, and if she can't conceive, they'll look at other alternatives."

Before their wedding in May 2022, Kravis explored in vitro fertilization (IVF) as a means to conceive a baby. However, the couple decided to pause their attempts while they planned their wedding.

Here's how Kourtney's loved ones reacted to her pregnancy news:
