When Ben Affleck and Matt Damon achieved success in Hollywood, they both purchased identical Jeeps. According to an interview with IMDb, Chris Tucker expressed his desire to buy a car after his own success, to which Affleck could relate. Affleck revealed that both he and Damon had their eyes set on the same car - the Jeep Grand Cherokee Sport - which was considered a trendy and modern truck at the time. To determine who would get which color, they simply 'flipped a coin'.

During his interview with his co-star Marlon Wayans, Damon verified the story, explaining that both he and Affleck wanted a hunter green Jeep. To decide who would get which color, they decided to flip a coin. Unfortunately for Affleck, he lost the coin toss, which he and Damon referred to as "the biggest coin toss of our lives," and ended up with the black Jeep. Affleck then added that they ended up with his-and-his black and green Jeep trucks and had to decide which one to take whenever they went out since they lived together.
