The ongoing buzz surrounding Elon Musk and his potential fight with Mark Zuckerberg continues to generate headlines and fuel debates within the online community.
Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been displaying behavior reminiscent of high school students, according to Elon Musk's father, who referred to a potential fight between them as a 'no-win situation for Elon'.
In an interview with British newspaper The Sun, Elon Musk's dad expressed his view that the world's richest person is in a precarious position if he were to engage in a fight with Mark Zuckerberg. "The concern is that if this outrageous fight were to occur and Elon were to defeat his opponent, he would be labeled as a bully due to his significant size advantage," Errol Musk told The Sun. "However, if he were to lose, the humiliation would be overwhelming."
The notion of a clash between the two billionaires arose after the owner of Twitter posted a tweet last Wednesday stating, "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol." Zuckerberg responded through his Instagram story with the words, "Send me location."
Although no definite plans have been finalized, UFC president Dana White revealed that he had spoken to both Musk and Zuckerberg over the phone, and both individuals were "dead serious" about engaging in a fight.
Thus far, oddsmakers are inclined to favor the Meta CEO as the probable victor if such a fight were to occur. This assessment is based not only on the fact that he is 12 years younger, but also due to his rigorous training regimen, such as undertaking the "Murph challenge."
Errol Musk also expressed concern about the potential fight, stating that he and his family are "all quite worried."
"I believe Elon has placed himself in a difficult predicament as a result of immature behavior, and they both have," he added.
These comments from the 77-year-old indicate that both of Elon Musk's parents have now weighed in on the budding confrontation, following a tweet from Maye Musk urging people to refrain from encouraging the CEOs to resort to physical confrontation.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk and Zuckerberg have privately expressed grievances about each other for several years.
Earlier this month, tensions escalated further when a Meta executive appeared to taunt Musk by proclaiming that their Twitter competitor would be "sanely run," which garnered enthusiastic responses from the staff, as reported by The Verge.
