Kevin Federline has reportedly issued a threat to take legal action against his ex-wife, Britney Spears, if she does not give her approval for their sons to move to Hawaii with him.
Sources claim that Kevin Federline, a 45-year-old American entertainer, has approached Britney's lawyers and set a deadline for them to agree to his request. He wants to relocate their two children to a new home in Hawaii. If Britney's legal team does not comply by Friday, Kevin plans to take the matter to court.
Kevin and Britney, who were married for two years before finalizing their divorce in 2006, share two sons: 17-year-old Sean Preston and 16-year-old Jayden James.
According to Kevin's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, multiple requests have been made to Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, seeking consent via letters or emails. However, as of now, Britney's camp has not officially agreed to Kevin's proposal to move their children, according to statements made by Kaplan to TMZ.
According to Mark, Kevin Federline intends to relocate to Hawaii with his wife, Victoria Prince, and their sons on August 1. However, he is facing difficulties in making the necessary arrangements without Britney Spears' approval, including finding a rental house for his family.
Kevin's decision to move is reportedly motivated by Victoria's job offer in the sports department of a local university in Hawaii. Mark, Kevin's lawyer, emphasized that there should be no legal issues regarding the children's relocation, as Kevin has full legal and physical custody of both sons.
Furthermore, Mark revealed that Britney, the "Toxic" hitmaker, has not seen her two boys for over a year. If no response is received from Britney's side by Friday, Mark plans to file legal documents requesting a move-away order.
It is worth noting that Britney is currently married to model and actor Sam Asghari, with whom she tied the knot in a grand ceremony on June 9 of the previous year. She welcomed her first son, Sean, in September 2005 and expressed her joy on her website at the time, stating, "We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our son! Everyone is happy, healthy, and doing wonderful. Thank you for all your love and well wishes!"
