When it comes to the Met Gala, which revolves around the red carpet, Kendall Jenner never fails to up her fashion game with each appearance.

Who could forget her nearly nude tribute to Audrey Hepburn in 2021, or her playful, feather-embellished Atelier Versace gown in 2019? And let's not overlook her bleached eyebrows that added glamour to her two-piece ensemble from last year.

Thankfully for fashion enthusiasts everywhere, Kendall's 2023 Met Gala look did not disappoint! After introducing her "no-pants" trend in 2022, the 27-year-old model kept the momentum going on the red carpet by choosing a sequined black bodysuit with exaggerated, floor-length sleeves, and leaving her lower half bare.

Kendall Jenner's dazzling one-piece didn't leave much to the imagination, especially as she climbed the stairs at the Met Gala. The outfit was adorned with a silver crystal-embellished collar and paired with sparkling, sky-high platinum boots. Kendall opted for a sleek, high ponytail and a nude makeup look that accentuated her bold eyebrows. She completed her ensemble with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

This year's Met Gala, titled "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," pays tribute to the late German fashion designer who passed away in February 2019 at the age of 85. Kendall's appearance at the event marks her eighth since her debut in 2014.

As is customary, Kendall paused on the red carpet to take photos with her famous sisters, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. The trio looked stunning together, with Kim radiating in a dramatic pearl dress and Kylie donning a striking red gown.

Kendall Jenner has previously paid tribute to the late French fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, before the 2023 Met Gala. She was featured in Vogue's May 2023 tribute cover that celebrated Lagerfeld's legacy.

Shot at the Grand Palais in Paris, Kendall was among ten models chosen to "carry Lagerfeld's legacy into the future." Donatella Versace designed the dress she wore, and she posed alongside renowned models such as Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell, and others.

Kendall and Lagerfeld collaborated creatively on numerous projects and campaigns for different publications. At the beginning of Kendall's career, Harper's Bazaar published a conversation between the two in May 2016.

"When you think of Karl Lagerfeld, someone that amazing, you sort of don't think they actually exist. I met him at my first fitting for Chanel two years ago. I was already nervous because it was my first season, my first Chanel show, and I didn't really know what I was doing," Kendall reminisced at the time.

"I met Karl Lagerfeld while shooting for his campaign. Cara Delevingne had already told me about how funny and cool he is. Every time we work together, our relationship gets better," Kendall revealed about her acquaintance with the late fashion designer.

In the previous year's Met Gala, Kendall sported a two-piece ensemble that included a stunning full-bodied skirt with a long train, a sheer nipple-baring tank top underneath a fishnet crop top, and platinum brows to make a bold beauty statement.

Kendall made her first Met Gala appearance in 2014, donning a custom blush mermaid-style Topshop gown and 82 carats of Chopard diamonds. In the following year, she attended wearing a custom design by then-Creative Director of Calvin Klein, Francisco Costa. "We only showed Kendall one option - the perfect one," he said at the time.

In 2016, Kendall wore a sheer, cut-out Atelier Versace gown, followed by a barely-there see-through La Perla Haute Couture gown in 2017, an angelic Off-White look in 2018, the aforementioned Atelier Versace in 2019, and a sheer crystal-embellished Givenchy Haute Couture in 2021.
