Disney has recently launched a fresh line of merchandise on its ShopDisney website, featuring five new items of clothing that showcase the god of mischief, Loki. These sharp new pieces are aimed at celebrating the character's mischievous personality. Even though there is no official announcement of the release date for Loki's second season, the anticipation among Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) enthusiasts is at an all-time high, thanks to the thrilling post-credit scene in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, as well as some already available footage. Despite the lack of official news, the release of new Loki merchandise might be a strategic move by Disney to keep the hype alive for the upcoming season 2, which is eagerly awaited by the fans of the show.
ShopDisney has recently unveiled five fresh items of Loki-inspired merchandise on its online store. Each of these items has been adorned with mischievous designs and "choice Loki-isms" phrases. Although the merchandise is not officially branded by Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is listed as "Inspired by Marvel's Loki on Disney+." The new merchandise has a psychedelic vibe to it, with a purple color scheme dominating most of the designs. The adult T-shirt, for instance, features the text "Master of Mischief," along with a tag showcasing a unique "Loki-ism" on each of the new pieces of merchandise.
ShopDisney's description of the T-shirt's tag reveals that it reads: "You were meant to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel. Trust my rage." The text on the shirt also features an image of Loki inside the big block text of the first word, with his large horns stretching out to the beginning "M" of the word.
In the case of the new Loki-inspired shorts, they showcase the "Master of Mischief" text along with an image of the helmet, and a similar "Loki-ism" phrase to that of the T-shirt, which reads "You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel."
Additionally, the purple hoodie displays the same "Loki-ism" tag as the T-shirt, along with the words "Glorious Purpose." Another version of the "Loki-ism" tag is included in this hoodie, which features the final line "Trust my rage."
Finally, the three Loki helmets add a touch of style, and the big, blocky "LOKI" text on the chest enhances the overall appearance of the merchandise.
This T-shirt, which also features the "Glorious Purpose" imagery, showcases the helmet and horns in conjunction with the "Loki-ism." The full-text tag is displayed on the bottom right of the T-shirt.
Even though the baseball cap doesn't include the same tag and text as most of the other items, its "Master of Mischief" tag features a curved font that almost mimics the shape of Loki's horns.
While it is not explicitly stated that the merchandise is connected to Loki's second season, it is inspired by the Disney+ series. Although the first season of the show did not have a particularly colorful aesthetic, with the greens of Loki and the grays and oranges of the TVA dominating the color palette, it remains to be seen whether the second season will be more colorful.
It is conceivable that the new designs featuring a psychedelic, purple-focused color scheme may appear in Season 2, potentially indicating the aesthetic of the upcoming season.
It is possible that in the second season, Loki may travel beyond the TVA to explore more thrilling and colorful environments. Given the vastness of the Multiverse, Loki has the potential to serve as a medium for MCU fans to explore it.
While there is no official release date for Loki's second season, it will be available to stream on Disney+ once it is released. In the meantime, the first season is currently streaming on the platform.
