Beyoncé's extraordinary success comes as no surprise, given her effortless stage presence and undeniable talent. Billboard recently reported that the first nine shows of her Renaissance World Tour secured her the top spot as the highest-grossing touring act of May. However, the European leg has propelled her career to new heights, setting unprecedented records. Based on data provided to Billboard Boxscore, Beyoncé grossed $154.4 million and sold 1 million tickets across 21 shows.
These numbers not only defy comparison but also surpass the gross and attendance figures of her previous European legs. In her 2016 Formation World Tour and 2018 On the Run II Tour (co-headlined with Jay-Z), she earned $87 million, representing an impressive 77% increase compared to her recent tour.
The current total revenue of over $154 million from 21 shows spanning two months surpasses the earnings of any artist during Billboard's midyear report, which covers a six-month period. While artists like Harry Styles and Elton John continue to amass impressive figures, the Renaissance World Tour, which is not even halfway through, is poised to contend for year-end accolades.

With an attendance of 1.05 million, this tour surpasses the 871,000 and 867,000 attendees from 2018 and 2016, respectively, marking the first time any solo leg of Beyoncé's tour has surpassed the one million milestone.
Out of the 14 markets Beyoncé visited, 12 of them achieved local records. Notably, she secured the highest grossing concerts in the history of London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Warsaw's PGE Narodowy, as well as the highest attendance record in Tottenham. Moreover, she achieved new highs for single-night engagements and broke barriers for women and Black artists throughout Europe.
The standout among the European shows was the five-night run in London, earning an impressive $42.2 million from 240,000 tickets sold. This achievement places her seventh on the all-time top 10 Boxscores list, surpassing notable acts such as Harry Styles, Take That, and Coldplay. It is also the highest reported earnings by a woman, a Black artist, or any act from the United States.

Additionally, Beyoncé crossed the $10 million threshold with double-header shows in Solna, Sweden; Amsterdam; and Warsaw. She achieved another eight-figure show with a single night at Paris' Stade de France. While the $10.1 million falls slightly short of the $10.9 million from the On the Run II Tour, it is worth considering that the 2018 gross was accumulated from two shows. In comparison, the 2023 tour achieved 92% of that gross with just one show.
These 21 shows have propelled Beyoncé's reported career gross to an impressive $921.7 million, with a total attendance of 9.9 million. However, her journey is far from over.
The Renaissance World Tour will continue with 36 shows in the United States and Canada, commencing on July 8-9 in Toronto. If Beyoncé maintains this momentum, the North American leg alone could gross $264 million and sell 1.8 million tickets. This would not only surpass the global earnings of the Formation World Tour but also become the most successful leg of Beyoncé's career, resulting in a worldwide total of approximately $415 million and 2.8 million tickets.

During the 2016 run, Beyoncé accumulated $5.3 million in North America compared to $5.1 million in Europe, indicating that these estimates might be slightly conservative. With the post-pandemic recovery impacting ticket prices across the industry, the disparity between North American and European stadium grosses has grown. This trend could further boost Beyoncé's overall figures.
Final results will depend on pricing dynamics within the post-pandemic ticketing ecosystem. However, it is safe to say that Beyoncé will surpass the $1 billion and 10 million tickets milestones in her career, thanks to her most successful tour to date.
